Manchester Deaf Centre Parent and Toddler Group
Manchester Deaf Centre will be launching a new parent and toddler group. This group will enable parents of deaf children to meet and socialise with each other on a regular basis. When a parent is first told that their child is hearing impaired, this can be a very stressful and isolating time. Some parents are not sure where to go for advice or to just ‘chat’ about their worries and fears.
This group will be a perfect opportunity for professionals to come in and speak to parents in relations to various topics’ around deafness and the support that is available to newly diagnosed children. This can be the key to a lot of question that parents have.
We believe that this group will provide a positive environment with similar life experiences to come together and learn from one another whilst at the same time receiving information advice and guidance that Manchester Deaf centre may be able to offer or signpost to.
The group meet every Thursday morning from 10am – 12pm at Manchester Deaf Centre.
