* North West Regional Youth Work Unit (NWRYWU)
NWRYWU and Blackburn with Darwin Youth Forum are looking for groups of young people for a steering group which will organise a regional event that challenges the stereotypes and prejudices created by violent extremism and terrorism. They are looking for young people who are enthusiastic and strive to make a difference as there are a limited number of spaces on the steering group.
The young people will need to commit to a residential on 12th and 13th of August and a series of meetings afterwards leading up to the event in November. This opportunity is open to young people from across the North West
Young people who become involved in this project will need to be supported by their youth worker's to attend this residential and the follow on meetings.
We are seeking young people from a wide variety of backgrounds and will not be re-enforcing stereotypes of violent extremism and terrorism by targeting specific communities.
