Subject - Yellow Pages Recycling Campaign

Posted : (Thursday 21st September 2006 ) By - Jane (Registered User)Manchester residents are being urged to recycle old Yellow Pages as most residents should have received the new 2006/7 Yellow Pages in the last month. Manchester City Council co-ordinates special collections for old Yellow Pages as they cannot be recycled in their normal paper recycling.

There are a number of options. Special Yellow Pages recycling banks are located across the city:

* ASDA Longsight, Stanley Grove, Longsight , M12 4MH
* Morrisons Chorlton, Wilbraham Road, Chorlton, M21 OSD
* Sainsbury's Heaton Park, Heaton Park Road, Higher Blackley , M9 OQS
* Sainsbury's Fallowfield, 347 Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield, M14 6SS
* Tesco East Didsbury, Parrswood Lane, East Didsbury, M20 5NP
* Tesco Burnage, Burnage Lane, Burnage, M19 1DF

Household Waste Recycling Centres (formerly known as tips)

* Reliance Street, Newton Heath
* Sandfold Lane, Levenshulme
* Longley Lane, Sharston

Residents with a kerbside box recycling service can put their Yellow Pages in their box until the end of September as these can be separated on the vehicle for recycling. Residents who have twin bin recycling service must use the special Yellow Pages Bring Sites as listed above.
